Step 1: Sign up your NanoThailand 2025 account and Register Online

Step 2: Prepare Documents

  • Complete the online application form
  • Upload abstract (word format, by 15 August 2025)

Step 3: Submit Presentation materials (by 15 September 2025)

  • Ensure all materials meet the requirements

(An English PowerPoint file and a 7-min video clip, present in English)

Step 4: Await Results

  • Acceptance notifications by 10 October 2025
  • Make registration payment by 20 October 2025
    Option 1: One-day registration (THB 4,000/ USD 130 per person)
    Option 2: Group Discount for Students (5+) THB 5,500 / USD 280 per student

    ***At least one student per team is required to pay the registration fee and present the poster at the conference on 5 November 2025. Preferably, we would like to invite all team members to be at the conference. All on-site presenters required registration by 20 October 2025.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Undergraduate students (all years) from any university worldwide
  • Graduate students (Master’s and PhD) currently enrolled
  • Postdoctoral researchers within 3 years of PhD completion
  • Applications are welcome from all nationalities
  • Must be affiliated with a recognized academic institution

Research Requirements

  • Research must be original work conducted by the applicant
  • Work should be completed or near completion
  • Must fit within one of the conference scientific sessions
  • English language presentations only
  • Research conducted within the past 3 years

  2. Abstract (300 words maximum) using “Contribution Talks” Abstract Template)

  3. Supporting Documents
    • For university students: scanned student ID card (both sides) or a supporting letter from supervisor
    • For postdoctoral researchers: 1) Evidence of current position/affiliation or a supporting letter from supervisor/university/research institute 2) Evidence specifies Ph.D Graduation date

Presentation Requirements

3-Minute Pitching Video Clip and On-site Pitching Contest (Finalist)

  • Duration: Exactly 3 minutes (no exceptions)
  • Format: Oral presentation with visual aids
  • Slides: Maximum 3 slides permitted
  • Language: English only
  • Dress code during presentation: Business Attire or Student Uniform
  • Pitching Video with sufficiently high-quality audio and graphics
  • Standing is generally recommended over sitting
  • Standard projector and microphone provided in a conference meeting room (on-site)
  • 5-minute Q&A after the 3-minute on-site pitching

Presentation Guidelines

The 3-Minute Format

Your presentation should clearly address:

Minute 1: The Problem (What & Why)

  • What is your research question?
  • Why is this problem important?
  • What gap are you addressing?

Minute 2: The Solution (How)

  • What is your approach/methodology?
  • What makes your solution unique?
  • What are your key findings?

Minute 3: The Impact (So What)

  • Why should the audience care?
  • What are the broader implications?
  • What’s next for your research?

Presentation Tips

  • Be passionate and enthusiastic about your work
  • Use simple language – avoid excessive jargon
  • Tell a story – make it engaging and memorable
  • Practice timing – strictly enforced 3-minute limit
  • Use visuals effectively – clear, impactful slides
  • Effective body language – eye contact, facial expression, smile, hand gesture
  • Prepare for questions – be ready for audience interaction
